“Mary’s Room” is named in honor of Mary Staples, a retired local school teacher who was also the first Library Director. Steps leading to the room read one word at a time up the risers, “Climb the stairs to Mary’s room”, which is our picture book room. There is also a juvenile fiction/ non-fiction room and a new young adult nook. We present story time read-alouds and celebrations for kids as well as inviting local children’s book authors to visit and share their stories.
