Sarah Nickerson is a local artist who writes and paints, but is best known for designing and hooking rugs. Her work has been featured in the Boston Globe and other publications as well as on television. A variety of her work is on display and is available to purchase.
Sarah and her spouse, Elmer, had a construction business until he passed away in 1995. They had been married for twenty-six years and raised their three wonderful children: two sons, Elmer and Philip, and one daughter, April. She enjoys her children and her grandchildren very much.Â
Sarah studied to be a medical assistant at Beal's College in Bangor and took a C.N.A course in Waldo, Maine. She spent time caring for the elderly and disabled. She has a wide variety of experience in a lot of different fields of work
Sarah has been an active member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was a bartender and manager at the V.F.W. for a number of years.Â
Sarah has been avid in sports of all kinds: sailing, biking, motorcycling, scuba diving, kayaking, and regular sports such as running, swimming, walking, and hiking.Â
She resides in a small coastal town in Maine.
