SSCL Celebrates Our 25th Anniversary!

The Stockton Springs Community Library is celebrating its 25th Anniversary on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The community is invited to join the festivities while supporting the library's ongoing programs and services. Festivities include light refreshments, games and activities, music from Midcoast Ukes, and a silent auction.


Visitors can purchase raffle tickets in advance or on the day of the event. Tickets are $2.00 each or three for $5.00 The raffle drawing will take place at 1:00 p.m., with prizes generously donated by local businesses, including Hannaford (Bucksport and Belfast), Rob's Hardware, Hey Sailor, H & H Mercantile, Dairy Port, Sweet Cheeks, The Club Marina & Bar, Edward's Brothers Supermarkets, Stone Fox Farm Creamery, Buck's Cafe, Irving Oil, Just Barb's, and Maritime Energy.


In addition to the raffle, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on five original works of art donated by local artist Mark Quigley. The silent auction will feature a collection of five of Quigley's celebrated artworks, with opening bids starting at $100.


One featured piece is "Pout Town Road," a striking landscape that captures the unexpected beauty of a familiar road in Stockton Springs.

The library is grateful to Mark Quigley and all of the local businesses whose generosity is helping make this anniversary celebration a success.
