Local author, Kim Yesis, will be speaking about her new book, Brush with Fire, book two of the Mayenne Bay Novels, at Stockton Springs Library on April 28th at 2:00 pm.
A mysterious fire. Two missing women. An unidentified crank who pens provoking letters to the editor. Claire Munro, practiced people-watcher and unwitting confidante to troubled strangers, has her eyes and ears peeled for answers, but the pull of her old life and the unnerving uncertainty of the new are powerful distractions. Will she be burned by her own curiosity?
Kim, who lives in Searsport, Maine, is a lifelong student of human nature. Her mission in writing is to highlight what is remarkable and fascinating in ordinary people. Even in fiction, she works to create real stories grounded in everyday life. A former business manager with a master’s degree in counseling, Kim writes from her home in Mid Coast, Maine.
