Author Visit - Patsy Baldus at SSCL
Author Patsy Baldus Patsy Baldus has spent most of her life in midcoast Maine and visited us on April 12. For thirty-three years, she shared her passion for writing through humor and storytelling with her students from kindergarten through sixth grade. Her enthusiasm for life still shines through her weekly age-defying dance classes. Patsy's love for gardening and cultivating teddy bear sunflowers inspired her latest picture book, Sunny Bear and the Secrets of Sunflowers.

Scott Moore's Paintings on Loan to SSCL
Scott Moore was born in Washington D.C. in 1953. Both of his parents were professional illustrators. In 1969, the family moved to Rockland, Maine. Peter attended the Portland School of Art (now Maine College of Art) and graduated in 1978 with a major in painting. Knitting and Crafting Group
Join us as we work on our projects. We are a group of knitters and crafters who like to socialize while we create. We meet from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month in the Reading Room at SSCL . All skill levels and crafts are welcome. Quilt Raffle for "A Reader’s Whimsy"
We are raffling a beautiful hand-made quilt by Judy Oneal. A Reader’s Whimsy was inspired by Keffe Fassett’s “Classic Plus Rainbow” collection by Free Spirit Fabrics and by Missouri Star Quilt’s Book Review pattern. The quilt was machine-pieced and quilted by Judy Oneal of Stockton Springs, Maine. The teapot square was English paper pieced. Drop in to the library to purchase a ticket or two.
